Thank you to our Lieutenant Governor, the Honourable Jocelyne Roy Vienneau and to artist Ed Coleman for their thoughtful and compelling remarks. On Saturday, Sept. 24th, our community gathered with many of our friends and supporters to remember John Pike, founding core member of L'Arche Saint John, at our 8th Annual John Pike Memorial Bowling Extravaganza! In good ole' country theme, just as John would have it, cowboys and cowgals came together to create our own corral in the lanes! A special thank you to our event sponsors Lawtons Drugs and Tim Hortons for their contributions to our event; to our many volunteers, pledge collectors, and helpers; and to Susan Pike and the Pike Family for their unique and creative fundraising with their harvest basket. Congratulations to Jacqueline Scott on being awarded the John Pike Spirit Award!
On Aug. 14th, we went Hawaiian as we cheered and hollered words of encouragement as well as passing out water and Gatorade to the runners participating in Marathon by the Sea! A very special thank you to Moira and Marijke who came out in the rain to help!
